Meet Dr. Carlene Janssen

My journey in healthcare began at St. Agnes Hospital of Fond du Lac where, at the age of 16, I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) through my high school’s Youth Apprenticeship Program. During college, I worked in the Medical Imaging department as a CNA while majoring in radiologic technology and nursing at Marian University. In my heart, I knew there was another, more natural path I wanted to pursue. I completely changed my educational journey and started studying acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine at Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. There I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition and a Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine. Furthering my education to the highest academic level, I graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2019 with my Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
Through my education and experiences, I've learned the value of living a harmonious life as the backbone of health, and the techniques of traditional Chinese medicine (acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, exercise, and massage) help us achieve this balanced lifestyle of wellness. I truly love sharing and educating my patients and community in any way possible. There are a few complaints I especially enjoy helping people overcome including digestive issues (bloating, IBS, indigestion, etc.), menstrual & fertility issues (endometriosis, dysmenorrhea, PMS, infertility), migraines, and mental health issues (anxiety, depression, fatigue).

When I'm not at work, I’m usually keeping myself busy outside as much as possible. In the summer, you’ll find me hiking nature trails with my dogs, spending time with my chickens, and getting my hands dirty in the garden. When the temperatures drop in winter, I love a good book with a warm cup of tea and cooking deliciously healthy foods.

MicroNeedling & NanoNeedling

Microneedling and nanoneedling is a minimally invasive procedure using a device that uses tiny needles to stimulate collagen and elastin production to treat wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars, sun damage, tightens pores, aides in hair regrowth, and balance skin tone and texture.

A custom face serum is created at each appointment made with Swiss apple stem cells, hyaluronic acid, and traditional Chinese herbs. This serum is applied with the micro and nanoneedling in addition to a two week supply for at home application.

Traditional Chinese Herbs,  Supplements, & Nutrition

Traditional Chinese herbal supplements provide another healing tool to instill health and balance. Herb medicinals can help specific ailments, maintain health and prevent illnesses. Adding supplements can make up for the parts of our diet we can be missing. Only an educated, trained herbalist should recommend specific herbs or formulas because of the strong effects herbs can cause.

Emotion Code

Clearing

The Emotion Code is an energetic healing technique rooted in the concept that we trap and hold onto overwhelming or traumatic emotions in our physical body and subconscious. These trapped emotions can cause a number of problems like physical pain, mental health issues, and other imbalances in the body. By communicating with your subconscious, The Emotion Code helps to clear these blockages and help your body and mind perform at their best.

Testimonials

Trista M.

"Carley is so knowledgeable about what she practices, I love learning the reasoning behind certain needle locations. I used to have neck and shoulder pain so bad that I could barely move my head some days. After acupuncture, the knots I used to have are virtually gone. My neck and shoulders feel so light. I've been getting massages for years, and honestly this has been far more effective in managing the stiffness and pain, and for much longer periods of time in between."

Paul G.

"I never would have thought how great I started feeling after only a few visits. The ringing in my ears stopped, pain in my feet, back & legs went away. Great place & excellent staff!"

Becky R.
